Privet - what type are you?

Would someone please be able to identify my privet!  I had a gardener (quite a long time ago), put in the privet but he didn't tell what type he used and I cannot get hold of him to ask! Thanks in advanceimage

Hi Keen Amateur. That does not look like any privet I know. It could be either Ruscus aculeatus (Butcher's broom) or Lonicera nitida (shrubby honeysuckle). Unfortunately I cannot enlarge the picture to get a clearer view but at least you can look those two up and compare with your plant.

I saved and enlarged enough to see that it's not Ruscus but it's not clear enough for an ID for me

Might be Lonicera pileata, the foliage is larger and more Privet like than nitida, also it tends to grow in the sprawing manner shown in the photo.

We'll have to get this zoom thing sorted. Poor nut has been hobbled!
