Tulip foliage seems to die down more quickly than that of daffs. Forget counting weeks etc......as soon as the foliage starts to yellow you can safely remove it.
tulips will often be lost...always the best ones .......over the year so lifting them and storing them is the way to go as far as I'm concerned.
Thanks Verdun! Thinking about it, the only tulips I'm bothered about are the ones I planted when I moved in - all the ones which the previous owner put in are all a bit primary colour for my liking
I think I'll dig up my belle epoques, as they are easy to get to, once they yellow, and store them. I'm planning on a big tulip order later in the year for what I actually want.
What's the best way of storing -in a paper bag in a dark corner of the garage, or similar?
