De-Leaf my Bare root Rose plant?

I bought a bare root rose plant a few weeks ago and planted it. It had some very tiny leaf growth starting when i bought it and since being planted it has grown quite a lot of leaves now, but i noticed they are wilting quite badly so i did some research and it mostly advises to cut the leaves off to allow the root system to develop.
Is this what i should do please? And how and where exactly do i cut ? I'm asking that because i'm so afraid i'll kill it, I'm sure I trim and prune things wrong as it never really works out good for me image

It was happy enough to grow new leaves but now it has had to survive a mini heatwave. I wilted too! Give it a drink and a few days of more normal weather and see what happens. It may well drop some leaves of its own accord, but it should recover. Its roots will have made some growth, just not enough to cope wih the sudden change in conditions. It might be worth giving it some protection, even just a cardboard screen, if there is a lot of either hot sun or drying winds, until it recovers fully.

    Ok cheers for the info.
My cats love to lick anything salty so they'll get a shock when they try to lick my roses haha!

Korno, everybody has said water it, which is correct, however you need to water it weekly. Bare root roses take a year to settle and get good root systems, and they need huge amounts of water to develop the root systems,  so do it weekly no matter what weather you have.

Thanks Dave, I've possibly been over watering it then ! I've been doing so about 3 times a week thinking that it needed it being so young.
Thanks i will cut right down image
