Unknown plant

Hi, my builder has given me this lovely shrub but he has no idea what it is as the person whom he got it off didn't know either.

it has a lovely fragrance and looks very much like a buddlia but the flowers are not quie as cone shaped, and the leaves are more rounded and a lighter colour (I think)

its stuffed in a plastic bag at the moment but I would love to know what it is so that I can make sure that its planted it in the right place and I look after it properly.

i hope someone can recognise it.

    Great minds Pete  image

Can't think of anything else flowering at this time of year that would be similar to buddleia

Whatever the plant is I would 'un stuff' it from the plastic bag  and either put it in a plant pot or into the garden image

Hi Passionate. That is beautiful and how lucky are you to get such a fantastic plant. It is a lilac as the other clever people on here said. Grow and enjoy image
