Preparing the soil for planting

Hi all

Has everyone for their courgettes, pumpkins started off??

I have been prepping my raised beds made from the turfs removed from the ground when I took over the allotment and have excavated a foot of soil and back filled with quality manure and topped with soil.

Now they are ready for the above plants which last year were amazing however I lost the photographs but they would be on an old thread on the site

i have planted Atlantic GIant pumpkins, Zuccini, Jemmer (yellow type) Floridor (yellow type but round) and Pattipans which are like little space ships

here are some pictures however will keep all updated on the progress over the summer
