I think you guys have helped me crack it! I googled Salix Pentandra and found some images of it and I noticed it has some fluffy green flowery things that hang from the branches. I am sat here in the garden and noticed 2 doors down they have the exact same tree as in the pictures! Same bark texture and colour too! So that's where its come from!

Hi CraighB. I think your tree is one of the Salix family. These are some of the possibilities:
S. pentandra; S. purpurea; S. nigricans (this is my guess!) We might have to wait a little longer til it grows some more
I can't remember the origins of this one.now.
Salix caprea is the one that turns up uninvited here
