No blossom on my crab apple?
Hi everyone, I would really appreciate any advice as to why my 1year planted crab apple has plenty of leaves but no blossom at all.
It is a young tree but not small probably 6 feet or so nicely shaped and looks healthy except for there being no flower buds.
Was hoping it would help pollinate other apples in the garden but that's not happening!!
Many thanks for any ideas

HI Scottiedog23. Have you spotted any bullfinches in your garden? These can be quite a pest eating the flower buds/flowers on fruit trees.
Mine has only come into flower literally in the last 3 or 4 days. Are there no buds either?
no blossom for the bullfinches ? All the new buds which have opened this week are leaf buds. Not a flower in sight sadly. Tree is small enough for me to stand and examine it closely and I'm afraid to say there have been no flower buds at all.
Such a shame for this year. It could be beautiful next year.
Oh dear
Right time of year, ours is in full blossom flourish
