solanum identification

CloggieCloggie Posts: 1,457

I bought a solanum today for a quid - reduced from £2 - couldn't resist it but now I can't identify it.

The solanum genus is huge.  I'm familiar with potato vine - Solanum Crispum Glasnevin, but this is not that.

It is a small (at the moment) sold as evergreen plant that has a white typical solanum flower.  There were others that had fruited with an orange round fruit but because they looked wrinkled I didn't pick those specimens.

Can take a pic in the light tomorrow if it doesn't ring any bells but anyone know it off-hand?

Thanks for help,

TT

imageHi Tetley, when I search for Solanum Jasminoides Album I get results for the potato vine.  I haven't just bought another Potato Vine in white have I?

imageIt has got little ball fruits that were orange in the shop (which I've seen on my old vine) but they were in clusters on the vine, these are singly.  Thanks for any help - sorry out of focus ball in the picture.
