I wish I had lolly beetles instead of lily beetles
I've picked off the 1st batch today osmotherly.
I'm pretty sure that any general insecticide would work but I would ask you to think twice befo e using one. They won't just kill the beetles but all the other (often beneficial) insects. I don't think there is a product (other than human fingers!) which will just kill lily beetles.
Provado ultimate bug killer. It is systemic and lasts for six weeks. I give them all a dose now, and then leave them so the effect has worn off by the time they flower, and pollinators are not affected.

Oops - seems we get hiccups on the new site as well - sorry
I read an article last year that the lily Beatle is attracted by aroma off the lily plant and suggested coffee grounds and a few drops of peppermint essential oil scattered round the Lilly's a thought it as a joke but tried it and never had any problems just lovely blooms so trying again and so far so good apparently it stops the smell which they detect the lilies
