Need some ideas for garden behind retaining wall

Hi All , I had an extension at the rear of my cottage around 12 months ago , i have quite a high garden behind with a new retaining wall and i dont know what to do to make it look better but also so my 2 boys (3 & 5) can play up there safely , my worry with a fence around is that my 3 yr old can climb anything !! so would fall even further ..

    Gosh, I feel your pain, I have a nearly 4 year old who has no fear!

    I'm sure you'll get some good ideas here, in the meantime, it might be worth finding the first episode of Big Dreams, Small Spaces (BBC).

    One of the families has a garden on a ridiculously steep slope, so not exactly the same problem, but it might give you some ideas.
