Don't talk to me about dogs!!! I took my trailer to the tip yesterday (half hour round trip). I locked the dogs out of the sunroom to save me moving the guinea pig (some risks even I won't take) and they ate their way into the tins of dog food! YES YOU HEARD.....TINS!!!!!

Mark Evans once said that labradors think the world is made of cake. I have labrador crosses and I really don't know what they think! image

    Hi Runnybeak image

Labradors eh? image  Years ago the village shopkeeper had a labrador.  The shopkeeper's wife went to the Cash and Carry and bought one of those huge blocks of cheddar cheese and left it on the kitchen counter for her husband to cut into blocks, wrap in clingfilm and price up for the shop.

You've guessed it image ............. yes, the whole lot!!!  Plastic wrapping and all !!!image   He had an 'upset tum' for nearly a week!!!

Our last lab was from a working and show background - this http://www.k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=359961 was his sire and Boss was his carbon copy - a wonderful dog who showed successfully and was also a great family pet - fit as a flea enjoying a long day in the fields with us just as much as an evening by the fire - once I'd taught him not to pinch the sausages from the pantry! image

P.S It's a terrible shame when people let their animals get enormous. My cat Bluebell came to us from cat rescue at 3 stone!!!!

I got her down to 8 pounds eventually but she needs a wheelbarrow to carry all the sagging flash around and it's eye watering to watch her run image
