Hi, Can anyone tell me what this plant is.. it looked like a hosta when it broke through and is about half a meter in height I thought it might be a type of solomans seal ??

Watch out for the litlte grey caterpillllars of the sawfly, that shred and disfigure the leaves. Squish or remove any you see (they hide underneath). If you can break their lifeycle you may not have problems with them in future. Other than that trouble free.
