My amaryllis seeds have sprouted!

This year one of my amaryllis developed a seed pod after it flowered. I didn't know what it was at first. It burst open and lots of seeds fell out. I have been floating them on water for about 3 or 4 weeks and they sprouted a couple of days ago. I just thought I would share that! Has anyone had any experience of developing amaryllis seeds into bulbs? It takes years apparently!
