I have to say, that not being very techie minded, that the format seems better than on Thursday. The  type  has changed and I've installed an ad blocker which gets rid of the really annoying B&Q shed.

This is the best forum, and many members actually meet up for garden visits and plant swaps.

My worry is that rather than go to another forum, people will just drift off into doing other things.

I suspect fidgetbones that many of us will pop on to look at the board each day as per usual.  If it improves, and I have no doubt that it will, we/they won't drift off, but will be enticed back!  Well, I hope so, anyway.

fidgetbones - I very much hope that won't happen. I gather that our tech team is working towards releasing the next set of updates about midweek. We're all catching up first thing Monday morning to review those changes. We won't have a completely perfect, finished forum by then, but I can tell you that we'll make all the changes we possibly can in such a short timeframe. It's the next step in a process, so there will be further improvements to follow...

I certainly don't like the new look forum.

When viewing the home page showing al the different sections I  now have to scroll right down to the bottom of the page to click on The Potting Shed, whereas before the changes it was visible on the screen without having to scroll.

The same goes for when opening one of the sections, such as the Potting Shed, Where many of the topics were visible at a glance I now have to scroll down the page to see them.

Whilst scrolling down isn't exactly difficult, I just don't like the look and feel of the new forum, the visible changes appear a backwards step instead of an improvement. The background colour is far too bright for a start.

One of the main appeals of a forum or website is its initial appearance and ease of navigation and I feel this new look forum doesn't meet those expectations.

In addition to the above, where has the Edit function one?

To continue from my above post, when I open this forum I can only see the first two topics - Plants and Problem Solving. Prior to the new changes I could see all the topics on my screen...

    Hello Leadfarmer,

Thanks for the feedback. We're intending to address the problem of the excessive scrolling with the next site build - hopefully the middle of next week.

We're also be making further design changes that we hope will improve the experience for everyone. As ever, please leave your feedback on this forum and let us know if there's anything we're not getting right.

^^^^ I can't even insert an image from Photobucket!!! The camera icon in the top right only allows me to insert photos from my computer. I don't keep my photos o m computer, they are stored on Photobucket website.

Cant even edit my above post to correct my spelling mistakes. This new look forum is a bit of a joke so far.

As I said, LeadFamer, we're doing all we can to correct the glitches and problems. I hope you'll not bail out right now, but it's up to you - bear with us a bit longer and I'm confident that we can make it a forum you'll want to use regularly.
