I think it largely depends on the method you're using to grow them - indeterminate varieties suit growing cordon style in a greenhouse better than determinate bush types, but they work very well in pots outside.
Ive never discerned a general difference in the quality of the fruit.

Hi all
I grew Shirley in greenhouse indeterminate and Roma bush type outside determinate last year with good crops from both however ended up with more green toms on the Roma but good quality and volume for my return
Going to give it another try this year and let's hope for a bit more heat and also got an area screened off to keep wind at bay
