What to do for my rose bush cuttings with yelling leaves

This is my third attempt at rooting my grand-mothers' rose cutthings that have been in the family for three generations now. They are now in a special little greenhouse on my kitchen  counter. Gel rooting hormone was applied to the roots and placed in little cubes and moistened almost a week ago. There are several on the outside edge of the container that the leaves are starting to yellow but the stems are very green. Any advice?

    Hi Karrie

I root rose cuttings in a gritty slit trench in the garden - no rooting hormone - just leave them alone for 12 months.

  • Well, this is what I have and cannot change them right now. What to do when the leaves start to yellow? I have read not to worry too much as it is drawing nutrients out of the leaves but cannot be sure. are not overwatered, but may need some by now. image

  • That should have read yellowing..Hydrogen peroxide was added to water to hopefully help it along. Any thoughts on this? We live in central Texas btw. I did put a few stems in potting soil, watered them and enclosed them in a a cling type wrap, placed them in a semi sunny location, to hopefully get some to root. How long does it take to see any signs of rooting?
