Can any one have any idea why some of my alliums have come up with tall buds and quite a few have just leaves which look as though they are finishing.All were planted last year and all flowered brilliantly.

Alliums tend to send up leaves first then start budding up later. Lots of my alliums look like this at the moment where as some still just have leaves
I'm in the same position I brought some potted allium purple sensation from Tesco in March they all looked healthy I planted them as they came and didn't try to split them but I have 1 flower stem out of about 20 bulbs all of the others are just leaves the tips of which are turning brown are these dying or could they still send up a flower ?
Just to add to my previous post about the alliums, all the ones that had just leaves are now dead.All the growth went brown very quickly and withered. The few that have flower stalks are hopefully going to flower.As mentioned before they had all flowered last year.
