What has happened to the forum?? I can't make head nor tail of it and I Don't Much Like  It so please put it back how it was !'!!!please ?

  • There are quite a few threads on this new format to the forum (impossible to keep up with) which is a pretty poor one and majority posted with negative feedback!!! Looks like the design of it was done with no input from "real"gardeners.

The majority of gardeners on this site are retired people with a vast amount of knowledge, wisdom and experrise in all aspects and I think with this totally new format, many of these people will leave. It's too much of a change for them to deal with and no thought was given to them with friends they have made on the forum and to all the other less experienced/newbie gardeners who used to "look in"  on a daily basis to see what was happening and to see the rants which were entertaining. A selfish decision was made here by the Editorial Team.

I am not near retirement age, I'm married with kids ranging from 18 to 12 yrs old.

  • Also meant to include newbies seeking advice etc. Now I have posted, tomorrow I will have to go into my settings to see my posts to see this thread as this present format takes up too much time scrolling up and down to see where I posted. Patience is a virtue!!!

This format is far less user friendly than the old one. Why was their no consultation with forum members about the proposed change?

  • Looks pretty, but more complicated and needs more scrolling (seems to all be really spread out). I agree it was fine as it was sp why change

    Horrendous.

William Morris's structure that we should "...have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."  is contravened.  This doesn't work and looks terrible.  The earlier one worked, and looked OK.

I don't think I will be using this forum as often as before - it was a good forum but I don't find it user friendly anymore - I don't think I am alone judging by previous comments on here. I know it will become easier with use but at the moment I preferred the former format.
