Lavatera Barnsley

Morning My one year old lavatera is showing quite a lot of brown rust on the leaves. Last year grew very well with lots of growth and healthy flowers I cut it back two thirds in in March and shoots are growing back but many covered with a brown like rust. Any ideas please - feeding / cut back more? Thanks
