Advice needed

in Plants
Got two astilbe on a windowsill at moment, grew them from a bare root. they have shot up and I'm wondering whether I can put them outside in a part shady area. Also, I have got two terracotta pots that I bought to put them in but these are much bigger than their current plastic pots. At what point can I replant?
not sure why the photo is horizontal ... sorry about that lol

Any roots coming out of the bottom of the pot?
no not yet, is that what I need to look out for? Is 'hardening' putting them outside during the day for about a week (bringing them in at night)?
Is that the general rule for ALL plants grown from roots/pluglets etc?
No problems with those, they are as tough as old boots, one of the plants I do just put straight out. They don't like being in, they'll romp away as soon as they are in the ground.
Thanks Guys, have put the astilbes outside in a sheltered spot until I figure out where to put them, I've got two areas that I call Triangle 1 and Triangle 2 lol, they are raised beds surrounded by a dry stone wall (in shapes of triangles funnily enough).
Triangle 2 is shaded (overhanging trees gives dappled light) triangle 1 is sunny, I'm wondering if its because triangle 2 doesn't get much sun is that why the soil in there seems wetter? Or is that one dumb question lol .....
Gonna see if I can find a photo of my 'triangles', I put a hellebore (dont ask me which kind) and it has gone berserk, so I got some more and just planted them the other day, different variety called 'Washfield Doubles', they seem happy so far ....
this is where I was thinking of putting the astilbes, if you think they would be happier in there than in a pot?
Outside now, and in the damper bed.
