White patches on leaves help? What is damaging my plants?

I'm growing some vegetables in containers in my yard, I'm quite new to this. Recently I have noticed some white patches on my raddish leaves, spinach and beetroot.

Initially I thought the patches could be powdery mildew, but they don't scrape off, there is no residue its was more the leaf itself being white. 2 days later and now it seems my leaves are actually becoming damaged!

Has anyone any ideas what could be causing this? I need to try to solve this problem asap before all my little leaves disappear!

Ooer it looks like Downey Mildew to me. I found it resoved by watering earlier in the day so that the leaves were not left wet by evening watering..

I also found the mildew spores were on an old legnth of Fleece so ditched it and bought all new.. Separate your plants as if another plant touches it, it spreads..
