HELLEBORUS

can anybody tell us please when is the right time to move hellebores.  we have 2 large ones which we want to stay where they are but underneath are 2 smaller ones hidden by the large ones.

we seem to think it is September but may be wrong.

also somebody told us it is essential to cut all the leaves back at the end of the year to stop black spot leaves coming through in the spring.  is this right or not.

    I do exactly  as Verdun.

Heligan is both a horticultural and an historical journey Verdun - some aspects (gardeners off to war never to return) are quite emotional. Well worth a visit.

    Some nice planting too image

I used to go about once a month, got in free, but haven't been since last summer, neither one thing and another.

I haven't seen an email about the Hellebore week, either I've  missed it or they didn't do it this year.
