Help with pond life

hi everyone 

can any of you please tell me what these little white ball things are in my tiny water barrel I am new to water features ? Should I remove it or leave it be please help .... Thank you

    Don't really know what they are!

    Could they be bulbs floated up from the bottom?

    Can you take them out and have a closer look.

    I get blobs like that in the birdbath sometimes. Never sure what they are but they get tipped out when I refresh the water. All sorts of birds regurgitate pellets, not just birds of prey. Could these be pellets from garden birds?

    Dove from above Definatly nothing to do with birds regurgitating
