Is there anything left Dove? It would be a pleasant change from toast. I could manage something not too spicy....don't think I'll be having curry for a while
I've even done some gardening. Potted on my toms and tied in clematis and a few other odds and sods. It got up to around 19 or 20 degrees - that's a good ten to twelve degrees higher than we've had on the better days over the past month or so. That's better than a lot of the summer, but we often get a goodish spell in May.
T'bird - I reckon there was a fair bit of knee jerk reaction with the new updates. Daniel's taken the issues on board and I think we'll see a lot of improvements soon, with most people staying here. If they can sort my photo posting I'll be a happy little fairy
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Mr C has just been to harvest our first ever asparagus spears???
Its been a three year wait, hope they're tasty
Glad to hear Lizzie's day was a success - hope you had lots of lovely visitors??????
Had a lazy middle ofthe day, with a productive morning and evening. Cold frame now empty, awaiting its next visitors - probably the agapanthus. And the suntan has started
I'm absolutely shattered. Spent hours and hours today at Malvern show, and came home with far more than I thought the OH would let me buy. You know it's hot and humid when it's cooler inside the flower marquee than outside. So tempted by inflatable jacuzzi/spa, but that was where the OH did firmly put the foot down. A list of my booty
Peony Lollipop
Phlox Cloud of Perfume
2 Chocolate Cosmos
2 Tulberghia (sp?) chunks
Nepeta Blue Spires
3 Streptocarpus Polka Dot, Targa and Menai
Dryopteris - can't remember the name, but it's a dwarf variety
Heuchera Lime something
Strawberry mint
Sweet Aztec Herb (bet that's not its real name)
2 Tiarella
Bunny Ears grass (can't remember the real name again)
2 Aquilegia (yellow, blue and yellow)
I think I did OK. Did miss out on Peony Pink Hawaiian Coral, and any Camassia - none left in stock. They were promoting a hydrangea with a almost conical shaped flowerhead as 'the plant of the show', I preferred the Apple blossom one. OH also put his foot down on some lovely alliums and gladioli on the basis that his dog enjoys digging up and chomping on bulbs.
Great haul seacrows - you obviously had a car full. Have you got places for them all or is that the next challenge . I have a tulbergia that I am very fond of .... must get it some playmates
Did you enjoy the rest of the show? Loved the look of some of the show gardens when they showed them on GW.
Chicky, very envious! Love asparagus but not got a big enough garden go justify the space for the time. Hope yours is lovely and will taste all the better for growiuit yourself!
Panda congratulations on finding your wedding gown! hope you and ma panda had a lovely day!
Wow scarecrow, that is some restrained shopping! sounds like a perfect day! It looked beautiful on gardeners world and hopefully you had the same weather as they did for filming it. Did I see the phlox cloud not perfume on gardeners world? Think I did don't blame you for grabbing that, the name alone would have tempted me!
Dove, I would join you but I've just eaten roast pork and all the bits and bobs! shame I'm the only one in our house that likes crackling! ....oh dear! All the crackling appears to have gone! oops!

And I took that pic on my phone and didn't have to email it yo myself before posting :-)
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
