DD you must be crazy, don't know how you cope with all those strangers in your home. It was bad enough when Secondborn and her partner were here.
Have been out in the garden all day today apart from a quick trip to Ashwoods for some large plastic flower pots. Don't know what happended but when I got to the checkout a couple of nice ceramic pots and a ceanothus had jumped into my trolley.
It's been a scorcher, hardly seems possible how quickly the weather has changed.
24.6C in the shade here in Norfolk - a little while earlier it was 27.6C
OH is just sorting BBQ out - I've been squidging vine weevil grubs among the roots of some donated pots of Primula grandiflora Hosta, have you mislaid some vine weevil grubs?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Is it a little sad of me to be so happy that so many of you are sounding so much more positive about sticking with the forum? I would really miss you all if you weren't here
I think Daniel has done absolutely the best PR job possible by just being around this weekend. He didn't have to give up his free time on one of the best weekends of the year but, the fact that he did gives me a lot of confidence in the team's good intentions.
Pleased to hear BL's day went well and I've no idea how DD could even contemplate opening her door to 9 strangers at such short notice - I'm not even sure I could do it at long notice. B&B owner would definitely be my personal job from hell. Still, I'm glad some people seem to really enjoy doing it so I have somewhere to stay on my jollies
Welcome back Frank - we missed you - hope you will pop in again
And finally - what are you all like talking about alcofrolic drinks at this hour? Still 22 minutes till 6pm - my cut off time. Oooh - only 20 now - goodie.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
You are obviously in touch with RB so can I suggest the following:
1) She tries to access the website using Safari rather than any other browser
2) If that doesn't work she tries completely closing Safari on the iPad and then trying again
3) If that doesn't work completely powering down the iPad then trying again
4) If that doesn't work - check for updates for both Safari and the iPad operating system - download as necessary
5) If that doesn't work post a link on her behalf on this thread and Daniel will advise her to log into a web site so they can check various settings for her

Whole heartedly agree Topbird. The knowledge and experience on here is second to none and the laughs have been coming back in spades over the wk end. If they can sort everyones' niggles out it'll be great.
1. Young people are alright.
2. middle aged people can muddle through and get young people to help.
3. more mature types are struggling with failing eyesight, earsight, techsight and all sorts of other stuff. sort them out first.
One day we'll look back and laugh!!! Maybe we should start early!

Cheers Archie! A very long G&T happening here as Daniel didn't bring any lemonade or ginger ale for the Pimms

NB - In the case of both 2 and 3 above she need to completely close / shut things down - not just put them into standby mode as we usually do.
If she doesn't know how to do that come back to me
Hope we can get her sorted
Thank you Topbird. Hopefully one will get it all sorted for her.
Also meant to thank you for telling me the thread earlier, have been out most of the day
