Coffee grounds

HI i have a regular supply of a large amount of used coffee grounds from a local coffee shop can anybody give me some information on how to use these in the garden.

    some use it to keep slugs at bay. Not convinced personally, but I'd happily stick it in the compost bins where it'll get mixed up and use it as a mulch.

    Either sprinkle it around your borders fairly thinly where it'll add to the organic matter in the soil or add it to the compost heap.  Don't use it as a thick layer of mulch as it forms a fairly hard surface layer which repels water.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Otherwise, we can't recommend their raw use; the acidity could be high enough to damage even acid-loving plants.

    Have a cup of coffee, then go for a walk in the grounds.
