SEAWEED IN THE GARDEN

Can anybody help me i have a large amount of Seaweed which was given to for my Allotment and what i can do with it  THANK YOU.

    I know Verdun collects and uses it from his local beach. I'm sure he'll be along later. 

    You could always stick it in the compost bins if you're unsure rather than let it go unused.

    I seem to remember rules about high tide lines and stuff, but , not living on the coast ( 10 miles away) I've never bothered.

    I think you're allowed to collect as much as you like below high water mark (probably MHWS if you want to be technical) as long as it's not attached to anything.  Bit feel free to shoot me down in flames.

    Check if there are local by law, where you live . You can usually collect seaweed washed up on the beach as it's dead. There's more of it after a high tide.



    It makes a good liquid feed, spuds and toms love it. I put some in the trench before planting out spuds and dig it into the GH bed before planting toms.
