sunflowers getting eaten

what can be eating my sunflowers they only have two leaves at the moment but something is nibbling them. They're in pots of compost I don't think it's slugs as I only have gravel garden no ground or grass.

    Probably snails, if not slugs.

    Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

    Almost guaranteed to be one or the other

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.





  • Ok thanks I didn't think they'd get over the gravel and into the pots but now I know I'll go get 'em image
