Hi, we are purchasing a property which has been inhabited for a few years and we have found these plans growing at the front of the house.
Has the look of a tree peony. Would have to be one of the Japanese ones, they're shorter than the Chinese.

If it's rhus the stems will be furry. as opposed to blurry which is what happens when I enlarge the photos
Not that i'm in a position to criticise someone else's photography
I think I'll have to get new glasses or a better pad!

Tree of heaven has sprung to mind but could be wrong. Are the shoots\branches furry?
