restoring a greenhouse

I am restoring an old green house which has a solid brick wall base, and a frame made of wood and aluminium.

should I paint the aluminium struts? they were painted previously but my instinct is that aluminium may not be easy to paint and may not need it anyway

Hi JohnB3. I think that you would be just making work for yourself if you attempted to paint the aluminium frame. My advice - leave it alone image

Hi John. It appears that your roof is completely glazed?? I cannot see the back of your green house but does it have, by any chance, a series of smaller windows just above the brick base? You could remove one of those and replace it with a louvred window. Alternatively you could remove one of the side windows and put the louvred window there. These come as a kit but may not be right for your greenhouse. measuring and asking several manufacturers might help. It you cannot use these options just open the door image.
