Clematis Montana Rebens
in Talkback
I've had this clematis for about 10 years and each year it flowers wonderfully and grows like wildfire however this year I've noticed that there are not as many flowers and it seems to be struggling. It's roots are hidden out of direct sunlight but parts of it are showing no signs of growth at all the only pruning I do is to keep in check a bit.
Any advice would be great I really don't want to lose such a large plant.

How big is it, already? And is it planted in the ground?
Yes its in the ground and I'd say its about 6/8ft high by 20ft accross
If the worst comes to the worst I'll give cutting right back a go and hopefully mine will grow back as well
