Help with my lawn please!

Hi all. My first post out of some desperation as I'm not a great gardener, but keen on a nice lawn. I got it looking amazing a couple of years ago, but now I've got a couple of dubious looking patches. There's a photo below, so if anyone can assist in clearing it up I'd be hugely grateful.
