Has anybody got any tips?

  • I have just discovered that vinegar is the perfect cleaner for those ladder type chrome bathroom radiators.
  • If you have a  spillage in a carpet - and a baby! Put a disposable nappy face down on it and stand on it. The nappy soaks up the spill. Doesn't work with thick lumpy stuff thoughimage¤

would love to hear any other suggestions.

I tried it in a steam iron once but couldn't get rid of the smell

Vinegar is good for cleaning windows too.  On newspaper.

Hold small nails in a piece of card - it hurts less than hitting your fingers.

When laying turf, green side up.

I use citric acid to clean the kettlie and the scale on the shower booth. It works like magic. I also clean windows with vinegar and newspapers.

but PlusGas is better for shifting stubborn nuts.

  • I find vinegar to be surprisingly good on chips but for some reason WD40 is less so...

  • Though it does ensure the chips are lovely and slippery, water resistant too!
