Plant identification

Emma179Emma179 Posts: 22

Hi all.  I thought I'd planted a honeysuckle here, but this doesn't seem right,  Can anyone help identify what it actually is please image  Sorry it was a bit dark when I took the pic.

Thank you!

Definitely willow. Salix caprea is the one that most often crops up unexpectedly

That will be why it is so tall then!!  Oh dear, that's going to be a brute to get out image  Not sure where the honeysuckle went then!

    Thanks for all the help

    Looks pretty willowy to me.

But how did it get mixed uo with honeysuckle?

It must just be coincidence that it self seeded and the honeysuckle died image  I learn as I go along.  It is definitely quick growing!

I've seen plants in GCs where the original plant has died and there's a nice piece of willowherb for sale at £7.99

I remember it was on offer, so at least I didn't pay too much for it image
