    Either Spiraea douglasii or Spiraea salicifolia. Either is quite a thug.

    I'd agree with Invicta.  It's growing out of a house wall in the town here - scary!  I guess you could dig a lot of it out, if you had the energy.  You'll need a mattock though cos the roots are tough.  It spreads by suckers, & you might need a brushwood killer for inaccessible plants.

    Spray it with glysophate. 

  • Thanks it looks like spiraea dougasii, it's a nuisance it takes over,
