 Apologies for the poor quality photos! Any ideas on what this shrub is? It's deciduous and gets purple/pinky flowers. Also, pruning advice? I've just had do move it which I really didn't want to have to do just before it flowers but we're in the middle of havi our front landscaped and didn't want to risk losing it!

    Looks like it might be a lilac. Not sure as the foliage is not out fully.

    Thankyou Invicta2 I think you're correct after googling a few lilac bushes! I think judging from the size of mine it's a dwarf lilac. Am I best pruning it after it has flowered?

    Yes, or you'll get no flowers this year.
