Any ideas

I am renovating my bungalow and the garden is the last thing to do. There is an area at the front which is east facing that i intend to create a new bed. I can find lists on various plants on different sites that like that position so that will give me a start. However when i have been weeding the area in the corner, it will be an L-shaped bed, is noticeably colder and wetter soil than the rest. Any idea for a shrub that will cope with that ? I would like something evergreen but that also has pretty flowers. I enjoy gardening but do not have as much knowledge as a lot of people on this site and could do with your help please image

Hi sunshine. There are lots of shrubs to choose from but an evergreen plant that flowers in the winter with a delicious scent is sarcococca.
