Thanks verdun. I have to say that before got interested in gardening I just simply pulled the crocosmia up by hand ruthlessly, never appreciating what was growing. I have discovered they are virtually bomb proof. But I like them now. They are on a raised bed within a border ( if that makes sense) so they don't spread everywhere. I absolutely have fallen in love with red hot poker which grows right next to the crocosmia and it looks great. I have already tried to divide the poker I don't know as I did it properly but time will tell. Thank you
