I grow Daphne cneorum and I am pretty sure it is not that, not sure what it is though. It would be good to what the foliage looks like, any chance of another image? It has the appearance of a heather but the flower does not look right for that, but there is a lot of them. Sorry not to be more helpful.

Yes! I believe that could be it! Thanks very Much Marlorena and Bob! It had an aroma line the description and probably was planted in the 80s! It was mature enough! Probably helped along by lots of people pulling cuttings through the fencing! I only wish I knew what I was doing enough to bring it with me! I shall find one and start again. I will sleep happy tonight ????
