I didn't take it back but I did go back to the place to ask the seller, and she insisted it's peppermint. I also asked all other plant sellers in the area for peppermint, and the peppermint plants they sell are EXACTLY the same as the one I got. None of them know what real peppermint looks and tastes like.
Why does mint have to have a bajillion kinds? Haha!
