Hardy Geranium pruning

Kai_63Kai_63 Posts: 81
We have some hardy geranium that have I think grown to full height now. They flowered last year and then I left them through the winter (I am what is known as a low maintenance gardener)! They are looking a bit sorry for themselves now. Should I have pruned them in early Spring, could I still do it now or should I just leave them to it? Also what is the low maintenance way of ensuring flowers every year? Thanks

Kai, just remove the dead top growth, you can cut or pull it away and they'll get going with rising temps. After the first flush of flowers cut it all away again and you'll get another flush.
