Heard from the previous owner, and she thinks they're Californian poppies! So Landlubber, you are our winner! She expects we should start seeing the buds shortly so time will tell.
Just googled the "Poached Egg" plant, leaves look a bit smaller than what we've got...cool looking plant though so wouldn't complain if that popped up!
Poached egg plants (Limnanthes douglasii), they look just as mine do at the moment. Great for hoverflies. If you don't want them in a particular place, just dig them in to the soil as a green manure. Might be a bit early for poppies to look quite so lush....
