Cherry Laurel Plants

Hi there

I have a very long and large cherry laurel hedge in my garden, but there is a gap in at one point. I need some decent sized plants (5-6 foot) to plant in to work on bridging the gap.

I'm struggling to find anywhere locally to provide these, and when I look at the online providers, the ones I'm finding are not too bad for prices per plant, but horrendous for delivery - around £30-40!

Does anyone have any recommendations of suppliers who may stock these and which don't charge the earth for delivery?

Many thanks!

Hi, if you want large plants you have to pay p&p because there's a lot of plantimage
  • Yep, I'm happy to pay P&P but some of these are ridiculous. I bought 80m2 of turf the other day on two huge pallets and P&P was about £15; so £40 for two large potted plants is nuts!

  • How much growth do you think they will put on a year, Tetley? I'm a bit concerned not just about privacy (as this hedge looks out on the main road) but also as this area is the main 'trample zone' for my dog and I don't really have a way of fencing it off to keep him off it.

  • Thanks Tetley image there is a secure set of iron railings on the roadside of the hedge, so all safe, just not private where the gap is image
