I watch goggle box and there is a lady on there that says it at the end of every sentence.
When I first started to watch it I used to look to my partner and say "isn't what?" thinking I'd missed something, winds me right up!
My way of speaking is not the best (mackem), neither is my grammar but come on, some of these word just dont need to be added randomly to a sentence, esspecially by adults.
Too right, I also cannot listen Suzy Perry on the Gadget show, who for some strange reason cannot use a g at the end of any word ending ING, really gets my goat!
'I am NOT your mate', I am inclined to reply, 'in any sense of the word!' when some young whippersnapper (it took me several seconds then to think of a sufficiently un-derogatory word) addresses me thus. If he's a real friend, I might not mind; if I'm second-in-command of a yacht in which he's sailing (an unlikely scenario), it's acceptable but NOT otherwise.
I keep on thinking of other terms I should mention in here but when I'm sitting in front of it I can't recall them.
Hello , 2 things that get to me is fly tipping , living in a semi rural position you have to drive to throw it , the 2 nd one is chewing gum on pavements
Runnybeak - I am PMSL! And that's another "hate" - these wretched abbreviations and text-speak that you either don't know what they mean or wish you hadn't found out. But, it must be admitted, they are occasionally apposite. (See what I did there - use a long word to make it sound a bit more clever that I needed to. So . . . . grammatical show-offs can join the queue of annoying people etc.)
