Has anyone grown verbena rigida or hastata from seed? I am trying but the seedlings are TINY after four weeks. Should I be doing something other than having them in a light room in a seed tray? Any advice much appreciated!
Perennials are much slower than annuals as a rule. Slower to germinate and slower to get growing. It's early yet, If they've germinated they'll get a move on soon. Are they big enough to prick out and get into new compost yet
No...much too tiny! I don't think I could even use tweezers to pick them up and I would probably tear the roots off. Patience is not one of my virtues but I'm getting better! Thank you for reminding me that they are slow growers.

I grow V. hastata from seed, but I sow in the Autumn and leave them in the cold over winter. They are just starting to germinate now.
