blackberry bush

I have blackberry plant in a tub with well rotted compost and soil. It's got lots of green shoots but am unsure which will flower to produce berries. Can anyone advise?

The young shoots will produce fruit next year snowqueen so keep the big ones which will flower and produce berries this year.  Once you have picked the fruit, cut the fruited canes right back to the soil. image

Blackberries ideally need to be in the ground but it should be happy, at least for a few years, in a tub as long as you feed and water it well.  Some retailers mention growing Loch Tay in containers.  I would remove the top few inches of compost each spring and replace it with fresh, perhaps mixed with some well-rotted manure.
