Pyracantha berries

Should I prune off the thousands of berries on my firethorn pyracantha - the birds go eat them but it is truly laden and I'm curious as to whether new buds and growth will appear if it's still bearing so many berries from last year ?

    It should be alright ,I leave mine (which is the same) for the birds . I don't have a problem.
