Green House Auto vents

Not sure where I am going wrong here. I am following the instructions but sill not working.

How do you set these things?The current temperature in my greenhouse is 36'C and they are only open 2-4 inches.

I have tried taking them down and putting them in the fridge and refitting. The instructions are not that good.

I am fitting to a wooden green house. when i fit them (cold from the fridge and fully closed)  then I wind the rod in a little bit until the windows is open a few mm. I have 4 and one it at the maximum extension and still only open 1 inch.

Any ideas?

     hi bluebaron pansyface could be right  the one I have paid £20 for it and my window is about 2x2ft works great I have mesh on the inside so as birds and cats don't get in

    Hmmm could be its a 18x12 inch wooden frames window with a Baylis XL auto vent. Cost about ??25 each.

    hi bluebaron no I cut a square out of ply  and put a window I made to fit and used plastic window
