Difficult shady area - ideas?

    Everything Verdun listed - plus Osmanthus burkwoodii. Small, white scented flowers at this time of year, or a bit earlier probably if you're further south than me. 

    If they haven't already been mentioned, Ferns, Polemonium (Jacob's ladder) and Polygonatum (Solomon's Seal) are all good perennials. Some ferns are evergreen too.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
