NEW GREENHOUSE

in Talkback
We have just erected a 12ftx8ft greenhouse on our newly acquired allotment ,are there any such thing as plans for the best way to utilise the space ,it's a great space in a sunny position and runs east west with the 12ft wall facing directly south , it's the first greenhouse we have had and would appreciate any help with where to put work benches for potting up etc,etc

I have my first greenhouse this year and it's great you will have great times in their , I put my potting bench in the shades spot as that leaves sunny spots for plants , as for staging I have used 2 of my old 4 tier shelves still with their plastic covers for now as it gives protection at some nights , the side of greenhouse has 3 tier staging . as Monty said yesterday it's the engine of the garden this time of year . happy planting .
Thanks for the tips Jason
I've put staging (actually cheap shelves from a DIY store, planks not solid wood to allow light underneath) on one side, also a potting shelf. The other side I have earth.
On the earth side, in Spring, I put up trestle tables with planks on to make more room for all the seedlings I grow. Then when the seedlings have gone outside I plants tomatoes and peppers in the earth, which I enrich each year with compost.
I've put a path with wooden pavers in the middle. I put thick black plastic sheeting down on the earth under the permanent shelves, but you could have concrete if you wanted. Something to stop weeds growing under the shelving.
Thanks Busy Lizzie for the tips
